BPCL inks crude purchase pact with Brazil's Petrobras

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has entered an annual crude purchase agreement with Brazil’s Petrobras, which includes a possible extension for another year. Additionally, Petrobras has signed preliminary agreements with ONGC Videsh and Oil India to jointly explore India’s deep and ultra-deep offshore regions. These agreements focus on exploration, production, and decarbonization opportunities.

French firm signs 2nd LNG supply deal with Indian co, to sell 400,000 tonnes to GSPC

TotalEnergies has signed a 10-year deal to supply 400,000 tonnes of LNG annually to Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation starting in 2026. The agreement aims at serving industrial customers, households, and CNG vehicles in India, reinforcing GSPC’s strategy to secure competitive LNG. This marks TotalEnergies’ second major LNG supply deal with an Indian company in the past year.

BHEL bags order from MAHAGENCO for 1320 MW Koradi thermal power project

BHEL has won a contract from MAHAGENCO to set up two units of the 1320 MW Koradi supercritical thermal power station in Nagpur. The project involves design, engineering, manufacturing, and commissioning of the main plant, along with supply of emission control equipment. BHEL’s contribution to Maharashtra’s coal-based power capacity exceeds 75%.
