The land compensation amount was deposited in the joint account of DC & DLRSO, Dibang Valley on March 26, 2025, Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director (Additional Charge) of SJVN, informed during a review meeting chaired by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday.

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd reported a 30% increase in its transmission network length, reaching 26,696 circuit kilometers due to new order wins. The company secured two new transmission projects, Navinal (Mundra) Phase I Part-B 1 and Mahan Transmission, totaling Rs 5,000 crore.

According to industry data, private players grew both their combined domestic diesel and petrol retail sales by 19.7% year-on-year in FY25. By comparison, state-run companies’ combined diesel sales dropped by 0.6%, while petrol grew by 6.4%. The overall sales growth for private and public retailers combined was 7.5% in petrol and 1.2% in diesel.

Coal India Ltd paid ₹5,832.69 crore to the government in March, down 4.7% year-on-year. Its FY25 total stood at ₹60,959.52 crore, up 1.2%. Jharkhand, Odisha, MP and Chhattisgarh received the most. CIL’s FY25 output was 781.1 MT, below target, but up 1% from last year.

Oil marketing companies in India are expected to see reduced losses on domestic LPG cylinder sales. Recent price hikes and declining international fuel costs are contributing factors. Losses are projected to decrease significantly by the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26, potentially reaching near-zero levels if current trends persist, aided by improved refining margins.

Reliance Industries has commenced a 21-day maintenance shutdown this week at its 660,000 barrels-per-day refinery in Jamnagar, India, impacting a crude unit and several secondary units. The shutdown also includes maintenance on a diesel hydrotreater. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

NTPC Ltd is considering integrating small modular reactors (SMRs) into its older coal-fired power plants, initiating a feasibility study for this purpose. This move aligns with the government’s push for 100 GW of nuclear capacity and private sector involvement. NTPC is also pursuing PWR technology indigenization and large-capacity nuclear plants, aiming for a 15 GW target.

CNG prices in Mumbai Metropolitan Region have increased by ₹1.50 per kg, now costing ₹79.50, while piped natural gas rose by ₹1 per unit, reaching ₹49. This marks the fourth CNG price hike in six months, attributed to rising domestic gas prices and exchange rates. Despite the increase, CNG remains a more economical option compared to petrol and diesel.

Indian Oil is set to invest Rs 61,000 crore in Paradip, Odisha, to establish a major petrochemical complex. This marks the company’s largest single-location investment, featuring a dual-feed cracker and downstream units for producing petrochemicals like Phenol and Polypropylene. Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has signed an agreement with MMRDA to provide substantial financial assistance, up to Rs 1 lakh crore, for infrastructure projects within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This collaboration aims to foster a strong working partnership between PFC and MMRDA. The MoU was formalized in Mumbai, with key figures like Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis present.
